The 8ICPPS is proudly organized by the Department of Plant Pathology at The Islamia University, Bahawalpur, Pakistan, and hosted by the Pakistan Phytopathological Society (PPS). This conference promises to be a hub of knowledge exchange and collaboration among experts and enthusiasts in the field of plant pathology and agriculture.

The Pakistan Phytopathological Society was established in 1983 as the first platform in the country for coordination among the renowned Plant Pathologists of Pakistan. Since then, society is working to popularize the science of Plant Pathology in the region.

The 8ICPPS aims to foster productive discussions among national and international plant pathologists. This event provides a unique opportunity to bring together faculty, researchers, students, scientists, farmers, and industrialists for an open and insightful dialogue under one roof. We anticipate the participation of over 500 distinguished scientists, researchers, agro-chemical industries, and farmers who will contribute to enriching the discussions.

The 8th International Conference (8th ICPPS) will address the emerging challenges faced by the crops to sustain food security and safety. The objective of the conference aimed at a fruitful dicussion forum for National and International Plant Pathologists. The event will provide the opportunity to bring Faculty, Researchers, Students, Scientists, Farmers, and Industrialists together in an open dialogue under the umbrella of Pakistan Phytopathological society.

Limited accommodation is available on advance request. Hotel reservations can be made on demand. Participants/students from Pakistan can reserve their accommodation from the hotels/Guest houses/Hostels in advance, on self payment basis. Accommodation request deadline: Nov 15, 2023

WEATHER

Weather in Bahawalpur is usually pleasent in November with average temperature ranging from 20-25°C.

SIGHT SEEING TRIPS 

Bahawalpur is also named as The City of Places so several sight seeing trips are to be arranged for the registered participants of the 8 ICPPS. 

POSTER PREPARATION GUIDELINES

All posters must be in English. The poster board area will be 80 cm x 110 cm. Try to use large font for the titles, authors, and affiliation. Do not use smaller fonts for figures or text. Minimize text and maximize the number of figures, schemes, and structures. The figure legends are essential and should be concise. The contents must conference language be readable from at least six feet.

CONFERENCE LANGUAGE

The conference language will be English. 

BURSARY INFORMATION

Limited funding is available for students of Plant Pathology. More Information about bursary assistance is available on conference website.

VISA 

International participants are requested to apply for a visa to the nearest Embassy
or High Commission of Pakistan. A formal invitation letter would be required from
the Organizing Secretary for this purpose.

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM 

The program will consist of keynote lectures, plenary lectures, session lectures and
poster presentations. Each session will address a theme topic within the area.
Special events will be arranged to ensure a lively interaction among scientists.
